On the weather front, the state is experiencing a tale of two climates. While a severe heatwave continues to grip many parts of Uttar Pradesh, with temperatures soaring, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that the monsoon is advancing. Relief in the form of rain is expected to reach eastern UP within the next few days.
