
The celebratory event of Champions Trophy 2025 has established its playing grounds. Eight teams will contest against each other to secure the championship victory. Before the main competition started the ICC declared all match official personnel who would work for the tournament.
The tournament across Pakistan and the UAE has decided on a 15-member match official panel. The tournament will start on 19 February and finish on 9 March at Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi in Pakistan and in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates.
Among the 12 match officials in the panel six officials who participated in 2017 returning for the selection. A majority of 12 umpires including Richard Kettleborough along with Chris Gaffaney, Kumar Dharmasena, Richard Illingworth, Paul Reiffel and Rod Tucker have confirmed their inclusion in the team. Match referees for the tournament will be led by three members from the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees who include David Boon, Ranjan Madugalle, Andrew Pycroft.
Sean Easey from ICC delivered his appreciation of the official team chosen for the Champions Trophy 2025. ICCI Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 has been assigned a team of match officials who bring high-level qualifications to their role. Easey told the ICC that the officials bring together extensive experience which will benefit tournament operations throughout the competition.
