Seoul: 85 people are reported dead in a plane crash in South Korea. It is said that the Jeju Air plane slipped on the runway and crashed while landing. There were a total of 181 people on board the plane, including 175 passengers and 6 crew members. According to news agency Yonhap, a plane veered off the runway and crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea, in which several people have been confirmed to be injured. Rescue operations were started as soon as the accident happened.

The plane was returning from Thailand

According to the information, this plane of Jeju Air was returning from Thailand. During landing at Muan Airport in South Korea, the plane slipped and hit a wall. The plane caught fire as soon as it hit the wall. According to the information, 85 people died in this accident. 32 fire engines and helicopters were also deployed to control the fire in the plane. After the accident, the entire area was filled with thick clouds of black smoke. 

Two people were pulled out alive from the rubble

According to initial information, a fault in the landing gear is being said to be the cause of the accident. The National Fire Agency said that the fire that broke out after the accident has almost been extinguished. At the time of writing the news, the rescue operation is still going on. Passengers are being evacuated from the wreckage of the plane. During the rescue operation, two people have been rescued alive. This includes one passenger and one pilot member.
