The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath used helicopter surveillance to monitor Ram Janmabhoomi together with Hanumangarhi and Saryu Ghat during his flyover in Ayodhya because many devotees traveled to the holy city after and before their pilgrimage at the Mahakumbh. The survey initiative came from an aim to review crowd management practices while developing strategies for smoother pilgrim travel.

The survey took place on the day after Kumbh Mela experienced a fatality-offending stampede that killed at least 30 individuals. The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath ordered both Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar to visit Maha Kumbh for comprehensive field investigations regarding the tragic stampede.

The episode from Maha Kumbh-2025 in Prayagraj constitutes an extremely sorrowful and heartbreaking tragedy. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered respect to the deceased as he expressed heartfelt sympathy to the affected families.

The Sangam area of Maha Kumbh witnessed 60 injuries and many missing persons after millions of devotees dashed toward the water to bathe on Mauni Amavasya which resulted in multiple deaths before dawn.

All devotees, saints and people from the state and the nation should stay away from baseless rumors and maintain their patience as I request. The administration remains committed to providing services to all of you as CM Yogi stated.

The Maha Kumbh stampede investigation panel established by the Uttar Pradesh government plans to inspect the site on Friday under the leadership of Harsh Kumar who served as a former judge at the Allahabad High Court.
