Mirzapur: A very sad news has come from Uttar Pradesh about the death of 2 people while ironing clothes. According to reports, the death of both the deceased came to light when the person who had set up a tea stall next to their shop informed the police. Giving information about the incident, the police said that 2 people died due to electric shock caused by a short circuit in a rented shop in Durjanpur Nadauli market of Mirzapur district of the state. Both the deceased have been identified and the case is being investigated by sending their bodies for postmortem.
Additional Superintendent of Police OP Singh informed on Wednesday that this heart-wrenching incident took place in Drummondganj Kotwali police station area late on Tuesday night. He said, ‘Both the persons had rented a shop in Durjanpur Nadauli market. Both of them worked as tailors at this shop. On Wednesday morning, when both of them did not open the shop, the person who had set up a tea stall next to it got suspicious and raised an alarm. The local people then informed the police. When the police entered the shop from the alternate entrance, they found that both the persons were lying dead near the iron.’
‘He got electric shock due to short circuit’
Additional Superintendent of Police Singh said that the bodies of both the persons were partially burnt. He said, ‘Initial investigation has revealed that both were ironing clothes at night, when due to a short circuit, they got electrocuted and died.’ He said that the deceased have been identified as 55-year-old Kallu Kol and 65-year-old Brigad Lal Nirala. According to the officer, the police have completed the necessary legal formalities and sent the bodies for postmortem. He said that further investigation is going on in the case.
