Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The highly anticipated cinematic clash between two of Bollywood's biggest icons, Salman Khan's Tiger and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, has been put on hold. In a significant strategic pivot, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has reportedly decided to postpone the production of "Tiger vs Pathaan" to re-evaluate the future of its ambitious Spy Universe.

The decision comes in the wake of the box office performance of "Tiger 3." While the film was a commercial success, it failed to meet the sky-high expectations set by its predecessors, particularly the colossal success of "Pathaan" and "War." Sources close to the development indicate that YRF head Aditya Chopra was not entirely satisfied with the audience's response and felt that the franchise needed a creative reset before launching its biggest crossover event.

The new strategy involves strengthening the individual characters and their respective franchises before bringing them together for an epic showdown. YRF believes that building stronger, "foolproof" standalone stories will create more organic and powerful hype for the eventual crossover, ensuring it becomes a monumental cinematic event rather than just a rushed assembly of stars.

With "Tiger vs Pathaan" temporarily shelved, the studio's immediate priority has shifted to "War 2." The sequel, which brings together Hrithik Roshan and South Indian superstar Jr NTR, is currently in production and is being positioned as the next major installment in the Spy Universe. This move underscores YRF's commitment to the franchise's long-term health, prioritizing quality and narrative strength over short-term gains. While the ultimate face-off is delayed, the studio aims to ensure that when Tiger and Pathaan finally collide, it will be an event worth the wait.
