US Strikes Iran Again: Trump Warns Islamic Republic 'Will No Longer Exist' After Second Day of Ceasefire Violations

Post

US President Donald Trump has officially confirmed another massive military attack on Iran. In an explosive social media post, the President announced that US military aircraft have carried out precision strikes on Iran, targeting the country’s strategic missile sites and drone storage facilities. This decisive action, according to the US President, was a direct response to repeated violations of newly signed ceasefire agreements by Iranian forces.

Trump took to his social media platform, ‘Truth Social,’ to confirm the overnight escalation and issued a chilling warning regarding further military action. He stated that there might come a time when the United States would no longer be able to remain reasonable and would be forced to finish the conflict through full-scale military means. He further warned that if that scenario were to happen, the country of Iran would cease to exist.

Donald Trump’s Truth Social Warning to Iran

In his official post, the President wrote: “United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! They may never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable and will be forced to complete the job we started militarily. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist! President DJT.”

The President’s social media post came just hours after the US military confirmed another intensive round of aerial attacks on Iran. Defence officials alleged that the retaliatory attacks were necessitated because Iran violated the interim ceasefire for a second consecutive day by targeting a commercial oil tanker navigating near the critical Strait of Hormuz checkpoint.

CENTCOM Confirms Retaliatory Strikes Near Strait of Hormuz

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that the Commander-in-Chief explicitly ordered the new strikes. They stated that their targets focused heavily on Iranian military infrastructure, including advanced surveillance systems, communication networks, air defence sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities.

In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), CENTCOM stated: “U.S. Navy and Air Force fighter jets conducted strikes tonight on 10 Iranian military targets at multiple locations in and near the Strait of Hormuz for Iran’s drone attack on M/T Kiku.”

The military command also shared operational video footage of the fresh US attacks on Iran amid the ongoing conflict. The M/T Kiku, a Panama-flagged oil tanker carrying over two million barrels of crude oil, was allegedly targeted by an Iranian one-way attack drone. CENTCOM emphasised that while multiple targets inside Iran were neutralised at the direction of the President, these strikes had no negative effect on commercial shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz. They added that American forces remain “vigilant, lethal, and ready” for any future escalation in the region.

A Fragile Ceasefire Strained by Renewed Aggression

The United States, along with Israel, initially launched military operations against Iran on February 28, 2026. This opened a full-scale war between the nations, aligning the US and Israel on one side against Iran on the other. Though multiple rounds of peace talks have been held recently—culminating in the Islamabad Memorandum interim treaty signed just weeks ago—the attacks continue unabated, leaving the diplomatic ceasefire extremely fragile.

This latest action marks the second major retaliatory strike by the US on Iran within a matter of days. On Friday, US forces also struck multiple drone and missile storage facilities across the country after accusing Iran of using drones to attack a Singapore-flagged cargo ship, the M/V Ever Lovely, while it was crossing the southern passage of the Strait of Hormuz.
