Ukraine attack kills four in Crimea, halts fuel sales

Ukraine conducted a major drone attack on the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula on the oil and gas facilities, thus halting fuel sales to customers, factories and businesses, reported RIA Novosti. Fuel sales to essential facilities, including security forces and emergency services continue as usual.
Ukraine's drone attacks targeted oil supply facilities in Krasnodar region as well, one person died in the incident.
In recent days, Ukraine has targeted oil and gas plants, facilities supplying fuel systems, power facilities, and the Black Sea Fleet of Russia's Navy on Crimea. Russia's annexation of Ukraine in 2014 saw the Peninsula turn part of the Russia-dominated territory. The attacks by Ukraine against Crimea and Krasnodar region has seen the transport connection between the two entities separated by the Kerch Strait shut down. Road and rail traffic on the bridge connecting Russia to Crimea remained suspended for nine hours due to attacks.
Ukraine president Volodomyr Zelensky has cautioned Ukrainians of potential major Russian attacks since Moscow might launch a major offensive amid the escalating tension over Kyiv’s actions.
“The enemy may resort to further attacks,” Zelensky urged Ukrainians to maintain vigilance.
