Worker Charred to Death inside Popular Hotel as Management Fails to Alert Firefighters of Stranded Staff
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : A huge fire occurred in a popular restaurant of Ferozepur of Punjab in which a worker was charred to death. Fire brigade found the body while bringing the massive fire under control but none was informed by the hotel owners or even the victim that anyone was stuck inside the hotel. Fire brigade people entered the hotel premises after bringing the fire under control and found a burnt body inside. Earlier all were told that no one was stuck but later the body of the worker was discovered from the hotel.
The body has been sent to the Ferozepur civil hospital for postmortem. Police said that they were investigating the matter. It is said that an hotel employee named Tulsi had got stuck inside the building while fire broke out inside on Wednesday around 9am. However, no one got the knowledge about the victim being inside the hotel.
Police looking into the matter
The fire brigade workers were extinguishing the fire but there was no information from anyone that the employees were inside and the owners also said that no one from their staff was stuck. While putting down the fire, the fire brigade found a dead body which has been taken to the Civil Hospital for postmortem. The police has also stated that the issue is being investigated.
22 times fire tender was refilled with water to bring down fire
The police said that a fire had occurred in a restaurant at Cantt area of Firozpur in Punjab on Wednesday that has caused death of an employee. They said that smoke coming from inside of the restaurant was noticed by the staff there, who alerted them about the incident following which fire tenders were sent. The fire brigade workers have managed to bring down the fire before it can spread more. The fire tender was refilled with water 22 times to put down the fire.
The deceased has been badly burned:Dr Karaj of the Civil Hospital said, "The body was badly burned. The postmortem will be done according to the police orders." Eyewitnesses told the press that the fire was mainly within the restaurant only so that many of its articles of furniture and so on were burned, and also people got startled. Chief of the Sanitary and Fire Deptt Cantonment Board Abhishek Pandey said that the fire has been doused now and it's cause will be determined.
