Why did Israel attack Syria, the big reason has come to light; know what was achieved

Israel Attack Syria: The Israeli army has said that it has carried out more than 400 attacks on strategic military targets in Syria in the last 48 hours. This attack has been carried out a few days after Syrian rebels ousted President Bashar al-Assad. Israel says that it has destroyed about 70 to 80 percent of Syria’s strategic military assets.

“Within the past 48 hours, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) struck most of the strategic weapons depots in Syria, preventing them from falling into the hands of terrorist elements,” the army said in a statement. “Dozens of sea-to-sea missiles with a range of 80 to 190 kilometers were destroyed. Each missile carried a large amount of explosives, which posed a threat to civilian and military maritime vessels in the region,” the army said.

 

Israel has been continuously attacking

The army said during the strikes, “Scud missiles, cruise missiles, surface-to-sea, surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missiles, UAVs, fighter jets, attack helicopters, radars, tanks, hangars and many strategic assets were neutralised.” Israel has carried out hundreds of attacks in Syria since the civil war began in 2011.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the fall of Bashar al-Assad was “a historic day in the Middle East”. He said it was the fall of “a central link in Iran’s axis of evil”. He said the events were “a direct result of the strikes we have dealt on Iran and Hezbollah, Assad’s main supporters.”
