Mumbai: Today is the last date for filing nominations for Maharashtra Assembly elections. Before filing nominations, the political tactics of political parties are surprising everyone. The latest case is related to BJP spokesperson Shaina and a famous fashion designer. Shaina, who was in the BJP till Monday morning, changed sides by evening and joined the Shiv Sena of the Eknath Shinde faction. CM Eknath Shinde himself inducted her into the party. As soon as she joined the party, Shaina also got a ticket from Shiv Sena of the Shinde faction. She will contest from the Mumbadevi Assembly seat.  

What did Shaina say after getting the ticket?

Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC on Tuesday expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Mahayuti leadership after being fielded as the alliance’s candidate. She said she is committed to the welfare of the people of Mumbai. After winning the election, she will raise the voice of her Mumbaikars in the House. Talking about her candidature from Shiv Sena, she said it is always the Mahayuti leadership that decides which candidate should be fielded from where.

Shaina said that I do not just want to become an MLA, but want to become the voice of the public. I assure people that I do not have a personal assistant (PA). Still, I answer everyone’s phone calls. 

Who is Shaina NC?

Shaina NC is a famous fashion designer not only in Mumbai but also in Maharashtra. Shaina comes from a Muslim family. She started fashion designing when she was 18 years old. Shaina also runs a boutique. Many heroines come to her boutique. Many famous actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Juhi Chawla, and Mahima Chaudhary wear clothes designed by Shaina. Sarees designed by Shaina are very popular. Shaina’s name is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. She has made a world record for wearing a saree the fastest. 

Along with fashion designing, Shaina entered the world of politics. Late Gopinath Munde, a veteran BJP leader, inducted Shaina into the BJP on 14 September 2004. She was in the BJP for 20 years. However, on 28 October, she joined Shiv Sena (Shinde faction). In February 2007, she was made the spokesperson of Mumbai BJP. In March 2010, she became a member of the BJP’s National Executive Council. BJP made Shaina the national spokesperson in April 2013. She has been seen defending the party on TV news channels.
