In a defiant speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a stark ultimatum to Hamas and sharply criticized world leaders, even as dozens of diplomats walked out in protest

With his address reportedly being broadcast into Gaza through loudspeakers and to mobile phones, Netanyahu spoke directly to the remaining Hamas militants "Lay down your arms, let my people go," he demanded. “If you do, you will live. If you don't, Israel will hunt you down.”

Netanyahu also took aim at the international community, particularly Western nations like France, Britain, Canada, and Australia, which recently recognized a Palestinian state. He accused these leaders of caving to pressure from "biased" media and "antisemitic mobs," suggesting their decision sends a dangerous message that "murdering Jews pays off.

"Your disgraceful decision will encourage terrorism against Jews and against innocent people everywhere," he declared, adding that many leaders who condemn Israel publicly thank him privately."Israel will not allow you to shove a terror state down our throats," he stated firmly.

The speech began with a noticeable walkout by scores of delegates as Netanyahu took the stage, a protest against Israel's ongoing military operations in Gaza. Undeterred, the Israeli Prime Minister defended his country's actions, insisting that "Israel must finish the job" to eliminate the last remnants of Hamas who he said are "holed up in Gaza City.He pushed back against accusations of genocide, arguing that the Israeli military does more than any other to avoid civilian casualties.

Wearing a QR code on his lapel that linked to a website about the October 7, 2023, attacks, Netanyahu reminded the world, "Much of the world no longer remembers October 7, but we remember.

He also had a direct message for the hostages still held in Gaza. "Our brave heroes," he said, speaking in both Hebrew and English, “We have not forgotten you, not even for a second... we will not rest until we bring all of you home.”

Netanyahu's confrontational address highlighted Israel's growing isolation on the world stage but also demonstrated his unwavering resolve to continue his government's current military and political strategy, regardless of international opinion.
