Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Indian cricketing fraternity along with sports and fans were rocked by Kohli’s announcement about retiring from Test cricket. It truly brought an end to a golden era in Indian sports history. As is the norm on social media, Kholi’s admirers and even fellow players took to social media and posted heartwarming tributes to celebrate his career.

Anurag Kashyap is known for being very vocal with his opinions and he did not stay quite this time either. He even went as far as posting this on Instagram for the world to see: “This kid became the boss of the field and our hearts. kyunki bhai hoon, aap kaafi yaad aane wale ho bhai, You will be missed in the test cricket.” Together with that moving statement, he also posted a nostalgic snap of Kohli donning a jersey from the National Cricket Academy which reminded people of his early cricketing days.


Tributes from Bollywood Stars

A great number of the Bollywood elite decided to express their feelings on social media. Farhan Akhtar, Neha Dhupia, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana all jumped in to praise him.

Though, the emotional tribute came from Kohli's wife, actress Anushka when she said on instagram, "They’ll talk about the records and the milestones but I’ll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game... Watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege”.  
After completing his statement, let us highlight his career milestones.  

Prior to India’s Test series with England, Kohli confirmed retirement on Instagram, stating, “As I step away from this format, it’s not easy — but it feels right... I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude”.  

Known for his intensity and discipline, Kohli debuted in June 2011 and played 123 Tests. Moreover, advancing in leadership transformed the Indian cricket to a stage that would one day become a legacy for generations to follow.
