
Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, best known for his patriotic roles and impactful films, died on April 4, 2025, at the age of 87. His last rites commenced this Saturday morning at his Mumbai residence. A video from the event showing him receiving a ceremonial gun salute has gone viral on social media.
The state honored the late actor with full military protocols, including draping his body in the national flag and a 21-gun salute. Police officials escorted his remains to the cremation site, with his son Kunal Goswami and grandsons leading the procession.

Industry Pays Tribute
Many friends, family members, and film industry colleagues, including filmmaker Ashok Pandit, gathered to pay their final respects. Emotional moments were shared as attendees consoled one another and paid tribute to the iconic actor’s legacy.
The cremation is scheduled for 11:30 AM at the Pawan Hans crematorium, situated opposite Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle, Mumbai.
Remembering ‘Bharat Kumar’
Manoj Kumar had been receiving medical treatment for chronic heart issues since February 21 and passed away in a Mumbai hospital at 3:30 AM on Friday.
