Today, at his camp office in Lucknow, Keshav Prasad Maurya listened to the 137th episode of the Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program alongside the Hon’ble Union Minister of State, B.L. Verma. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted various significant topics, including public participation in society and nation-building, the positive role of youth, the ‘Bharatrajya’ website, and the ‘Nasha-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ (Drug-Free India Campaign).
He mentioned how Akash and Rohan from Patwai village in Rampur took the initiative to clean up the filth in their surroundings. Their efforts sparked the ‘Clean-up Patwai’ campaign, which gradually attracted many other young people. Through this campaign, the youth cleaned four Ganga ghats and removed over a tonne of plastic waste, setting an inspiring example of cleanliness and public participation. Shri Maurya noted that the Prime Minister also showcased significant achievements in the realm of women's empowerment. Women constitute approximately 46 percent of the beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi scheme, with nearly 35 lakh women expanding their businesses through it; this marks a significant step towards an *Atmanirbhar Bharat* (Self-Reliant India) and women's empowerment. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to provide a national platform for the efforts of talented individuals from ordinary backgrounds and those doing extraordinary work for the public good. He explained that when such efforts receive recognition and respect, others in society—especially the youth—draw inspiration from them and step forward to contribute to nation-building.
Keshav Prasad Maurya expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for highlighting the commendable efforts of the youth from Rampur district on a national platform like ‘Mann Ki Baat.’ He remarked that the Prime Minister is boosting the morale of talented individuals by recognizing the positive, creative, and inspiring work taking place across the country. He further mentioned that through ‘Mission Shakti,’ 12,000 female students from 108 countries are gaining opportunities to learn and advance in the fields of satellite technology and innovation. This serves as an example of both India's growing technological prowess and the global empowerment of *Nari Shakti* (women's power). Narendra Modi is a visionary Prime Minister who keeps a close watch on the commendable work being done in villages across the country. It is impossible for even the smallest public-spirited initiative undertaken by an individual—whether in a district, tehsil, or village of Uttar Pradesh—to go unnoticed by the Prime Minister. He remarked that the nation requires leadership that possesses a global outlook yet remains sensitive to the small-scale efforts aimed at uplifting villages, the poor, the youth, women, and the most marginalized sections of society. Shri Maurya stated that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is not merely a dialogue program; it has evolved into an effective medium for connecting positive initiatives across the nation, giving them recognition, and transforming them into a mass movement. Under the Prime Minister's leadership, every citizen of the country is being inspired to participate in building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
