Suspense Crime,Digital Desk:Property Bequeath Fee: As per the orders of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, now there will be one single fee for charge for property division and division of will in all small and big cities. Urban Development Department is about to issue a government order in this context very timely. At the moment, uniform fee structures do not seem to be an option for all the bodies. The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation charges a fee of ₹5000 for property transfer on the basis of will, while the Lucknow Municipal Corporation does the same work free of cost.

In Meerut Municipal Corporation, a charge of 3% of the property value is levied for property division transfer, while in Prayagraj Municipal Corporation, this fee is only Rs 2000. In Fatehpur Palika Parishad charge for transfer on the basis of will is Rs 2000, and in Badaun there is no fee at all. It is also different in Nagar Panchayats.

All of the urban constituents in the state will have uniform procedures and costs for changes, amendments, partitions of wills, as well as property tax assessments. The previously mentioned proposal aims to eradicate such disparities and put in place a cohesive policy. The guiding aim of the administration is for the residents of the state to receive such benefits—regardless of which district’s urban constituents they are in.
