Suspense Crime,Digital Desk: Aadhaar/ Pan Update: No more will people have to visit separate offices for updating name, address, mobile number in Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Driving License etc. The central government is going to implement the Unified Digital Identity System. For this purpose, people will be able to update address, number etc for one place in the portal under construction. This change will be automatically incorporated in all the requisite identity cards.

How will this portal function The portal is designed in such a way that all identity cards like Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License and Passport are integrated under one roof. For updating you have to visit the portal and select the option to be updated. For example, Change mobile Update option separate for address change. Upload relevant documents. It will take three working days for all the documents to be updated.

How to get new identity card;

There will be an option on this portal to apply for a new identity card. For this, you need to submit an application along with fee through this portal.

The updated identity card will be delivered to the applicants address through post within a week and would be expected to be received within 7 working days.

Tothere is an option for users who are more inclined to want to go to the office to pick up their identity card in person.

The pilot phase is under progress but wrapping up soon. As relayed by the officials stated, the pilot phase is under progress right now. The system will evaluate the accuracy targets with a threshold of 98% or higher for practical application to system testing. This will then be available to the public after a few months. According to early speculation, the portal intended to be user-friendly may go live in the near future. A name for the portal is undecided but upon completion of final testing, a name will be assigned.
