While difficult to discern clearly, the picture seemed to feature Trump himself, possibly accompanied by his wife, Melania Trump.
This fleeting image was enough to ignite a storm of conjecture across the web, especially on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter). Some online commentators theorized that the indistinct, somewhat somber-looking picture might be a tribute or an image connected to the September 11, 2001, attacks. These "9/11 theories" rapidly gained momentum, fueling extensive online discussion.
However, a significant number of other users and observers quickly countered with a more straightforward explanation. They proposed that the lock screen most likely displayed a personal photograph of Trump and Melania, perhaps from a formal occasion or a treasured private moment. The poor quality of the captured screen image made any definitive identification challenging, naturally leading to varied interpretations.
Those skeptical of the 9/11 connection pointed out that it's common for public figures, like anyone else, to use personal photos as their phone backgrounds.
