What to eat to reduce uric acid?
- Fruits- A patient with high uric acid should include as many fruits as possible in his diet. Eat bananas, kiwi, apples, and berries for uric acid. The antioxidants found in cherries help in reducing uric acid. Therefore, eat cherries.
- Vegetables- Bottle gourd is considered a boon for uric acid patients. Eat a bottle of gourd once a day for a few days. Apart from this, include mushroom, lemon, cucumber, tomato, and parwal in other vegetables.
- Cereals- A uric acid patient should take a diet rich in fiber. Talking about cereals, in case of high uric acid, eat cereals like barley, oats, and brown rice. These fiber-rich foods help in removing purines from the body.
- Water- Drink as much water as possible to flush out uric acid. Instead of normal water, drink lemon water. Drink coconut water. This can reduce uric acid.
- Green Tea- Green tea also proves helpful in reducing uric acid. Green tea contains plenty of antioxidants which reduce inflammation. Uric acid can be reduced by drinking green tea.
