On the occasion of Diwali, a house in Sisamau, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh was filled with sorrow. A cylinder exploded outside the house. A 40-year-old man died in this incident. His wife was seriously injured and has been admitted to the hospital. It is being told that the man had gone to the agency to get a gas cylinder. When he reached outside the house with the cylinder, a sudden blast occurred.
ADCP Kanpur Mukesh Kumar said that a person named Surendra was bringing a cylinder. The cylinder exploded while being unloaded. Surendra died on the spot and his wife has been admitted to the hospital. FSL teams have reached the spot. Investigation is underway.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Dinesh Tripathi said the incident took place in the Gandhi Nagar area under the Sisamau police station on Thursday morning. He said the explosion took place outside the couple’s house. “Surendra had come home with a cylinder on his two-wheeler and while he was trying to unload the cylinder from the vehicle outside his house, it exploded, killing him. His wife Navita came down to help him, she too was seriously injured in the explosion and has been admitted to a hospital,” Tripathi said.
The official said that local police and forensic experts reached the spot immediately after the incident and the exact cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained. Tripathi said that no other person was injured in the incident. The DCP said that the body has been sent for post-mortem and legal action is being taken in the case.
