The Yamaha MT-15 has always been the undisputed style icon of the 155cc streetfighter segment, known for its aggressive looks and a performance that left many other motorcycles in the dust. They replaced the old telescopic forks with premium upside down (USD) golden forks. The aggressive, “Dark Side of Japan” style is still present, but now refreshed with bold new color schemes such as the eye-catching Cyan Storm, Racing Blue and other equally stylish options. This motorcycle is intended to catch the attention of onlookers which indeed has been its very motto.
Beneath its skin, the MT-15 V2 is equipped with its liquid-cooled 155cc engine, the same one he R15 uses. This engine is known for being one of the best in its class as it is peppy and accelerates quickly. The engine is also paired with a 6-speed transmission equipped with an assist and slipper clutch which makes the gear shifts smoother.
The MT-15 V2 also received an upgraded, more readable, digital sign board. The more important upgrade, however, is MT-15 V2's added bluetooth capabilities Yamaha's Y-Connect app. Now, you can pair your phone with the bike and receive call and message notifications, monitor fuel usage, locate the last parked location, and more. The added conveniences are certainly welcome.
The additional safety feature of dual-channel ABS boosts safety and greatly improves safety with braking control and peace of mind.
