The groom’s brother and brother-in-law, who were returning from the wedding, died in a road accident and another person was seriously injured. A police official gave this information on Monday. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain said that on Sunday night, the wedding procession of Israel, a resident of village Hajipur under Gangoh police station, was returning late at night from Garhi Daulat of Kandhla in Shamli. The groom’s younger brother Haseen (18), brother-in-law Raju (26) and maternal uncle Istakhar (30) were returning home on the bike received at the wedding.

Tractor-trolley collision

As soon as their bike reached near village Dudhla on Gangoh Bidauli road, it collided with a tractor-trolley. ASP said that the collision was so severe that all three people riding the bike fell on the road 20 meters away. He said that in the accident, the groom’s younger brother Haseen and brother-in-law Raju died on the spot, while maternal uncle Istakhar survived because he was wearing a helmet, but he too got badly injured.

Disappointment spread on the faces of the villagers  

Jain said that as soon as the information was received, the Gangoh police station reached the spot and took all three to the hospital, where doctors declared Haseen and Raju dead. The injured Istakhaar is undergoing treatment. He said that the police have sent both the bodies for post-mortem. After the collision, the tractor trolley driver fled with the vehicle. The police is searching for him.

When this sad news reached, a wave of grief ran through the groom’s village. The atmosphere of happiness turned into sorrow and disappointment was visible on the faces of all the villagers.
