Before the T20 World Cup, the number three puzzle in the Indian women’s cricket team has been solved. Team India has been looking for someone for number 3 for a long time, which has now ended. Before the match against New Zealand, it has become clear who will bat at number 3. The team’s head coach Amol Majumdar has revealed this secret. Amol Majumdar said that the responsibility of batting at number 3 will be on the shoulders of Harmanpreet Kaur. Majumdar said before the match against New Zealand that it was decided during the camp in India itself who will be given a chance at number three. The team had decided in the Bengaluru camp itself who would bat at this number. After this, it was finalized in the warm-up matches of the World Cup.

Problem number 3 solved

Since Amol Majumdar became the coach in October last year, Team India has tried many players at number 3. Till April this year, Yastika Bhatia was considered the biggest contender for this position but her injury ruined all the team’s plans. Apart from this, D Hemalatha and Uma Chhetri were given a chance at number-3 but both of them could not impress with the bat.

The coach expressed confidence in the captain.

Captain Harmanpreet may have scored 10 and 1 runs while batting at number 3 in the warm-up matches, but the coach and team management have full faith in her. This is the reason why she has been selected for this position. The coach believes that Harmanpreet will handle this big responsibility well and live up to the expectations. The biggest challenge for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup will be to overcome teams like England and Australia. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how Harmanpreet performs while playing at number 3 against these teams.
