Conversations between Sharma's wife and sister which surfaced on social media have become the centre of attention since the baffling incident. It includes the incident of a TCS employee, Manav Sharma, found dead at his house in Agra because of the hanging position he was found to be in. The employee had a disputable reason as to why he took his life. His wife was allegedly cheating on him.
At statement meetings, Sharma did say that he was concerned about Manav's alcohol dependency and violence issues…but that's called self-defense. “After being violent with me Manav would engage in alcohol dependency, self harm and further violence. It’s sickening,” says Sharma.
What did the Whatsapp chats reveal?
Nikita, chatting to Akansha at 2am shared, “Manav was completely drunk and for some reason refused to listen to me.”
To which, Akansha was quick to respond, “It’s okay. Ignore. Sleep."
Manav Sharma Suicide Case: It is evident that Manav was under extreme influence of alcohol. It is also evident that his wife Nikita made desperate pleas to his sister to stop him who asked her to ignore.

Nikita proceeded with the conversation stating that she overheard Manav removing a piece of clothing while sitting on the edge of the bed and had a piece of clothing wrapped around his neck with the other end tied to a ceiling fan. “He had been drinking heavily before I told you all this Akansha,” she said.
While discussing with Akansha, Nikita said I urge you to speak with him. Otherwise, he will be compelled to commit suicide. But Akansha said nothing would happen and started requesting her to “be strong” and “relax.” “Nikky, please relax. Tujhe strong hona padega ab [You need to be strong now].”
She also mentioned to Akansha about how Manav was in his room all alone when she was at her parents place, worried that he could do something irrational. When Akansha asked why did she leave him unattended, Nikita says that she could not explain Manav’s condition to her father because he was already sick.
Sharma was found dead in his apartment in Agra a day after he came back from Mumbai on February 24. He worked as a Senior Process Associate at TCS, and he had self-harmed in the past. He was once a Talent Acquisition Specialist at several companies.
Manav and Nikita got married in Agra in the year 2024. In February 2025, he returned to Mumbai with his wife. He alleged that he had reasons to believe that Nikita was unfaithful and considered his marriage to be extremely traumatic.
He uploaded a video that was about seven minutes long onto social media before he ended his life by hanging. At this point he was sobbing and begging people to “think and talk about men” who arevery alone and have too many expectations thrust upon them.
Sharma further blamed his troubled marriage on the problems he was facing and this was the only way out he could think of.
