Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker, known for her outspoken nature, has once again responded firmly to online trolls. This time, she addressed criticism regarding her husband, activist Fahad Ahmad, not participating in Holi celebrations.

The backlash arose after Swara shared joyful Holi moments with her family on Instagram. Some users questioned Fahad’s absence from the festival, prompting Swara to set the record straight.

Swara Bhasker’s Bold Response to Online Criticism

Swara, never one to ignore unwarranted remarks, swiftly responded. Taking to her Instagram stories, she shared a clear message:

“Happy Holi ya’ll! Gentle reminder: it’s possible to celebrate our festivals and share joy WITHOUT forcing people to participate.”

Her response was aimed at those questioning Fahad’s decision to refrain from playing with colors.

Fahad Ahmad Observed a Fast for Ramazan

Swara’s Holi pictures showed her and her daughter Rabiya enjoying the festivities, covered in bright colors. Fahad, however, remained untouched by colors as he was observing a fast for Ramazan.

Despite this, some social media users criticized his absence from the celebrations. Comments ranged from sarcastic remarks to accusations of not embracing interfaith harmony.

One troll asked:

“Why didn’t your husband apply colors?”

Another user sarcastically wrote:

“Andh bhakt ka sawal: Tumhare husband ne rang kyu nahi lagaya?” (Blind devotee’s question: Why didn’t your husband play Holi?)

A third comment read:

“Iske muu par color kyu nahi hai?” (Why isn’t there color on his face?)

A longer comment criticized their relationship, stating:

“If for your and your daughter’s happiness, he had applied some color, what would have happened? If someone values religion over love, that love isn’t real. Celebrate each other’s festivals together.”

Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad: A Couple Targeted by Trolls

Swara and Fahad tied the knot in February 2023 under the Special Marriage Act and welcomed their daughter later that year. Being a high-profile interfaith couple, they have often been subjected to online scrutiny and criticism.

Fahad, a Samajwadi Party leader, and Swara, known for her candid opinions, have faced unjust attacks in the past. However, the couple continues to stand by their values and refuses to engage in needless negativity.

By addressing unwarranted criticism, Swara once again proved that she will not tolerate unsolicited opinions about her personal life.
