About the Film 'Jaat'
Featuring a glittering ensemble of Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra, 'Jaat' has been directed by Gopichand Malineni. This marks the first foray into Hindi cinema for the studio known for the Pushpa franchise.
It has been reported that Jat has earned over ₹100 crore in the box office and thus has been declared successful by critics. There are already plans for a sequel.
Jaat has received mixed reviews after screening, ETimes claimed that the film has:
Visuals and Background Score: Leading cinematography with a rugged aesthetic: Rounded to Good, Thaman S’s music instills urgency.
Action and Dialogues: Attention was given to stylized action, which at times crosses the line into gaudiness. The dialogues written by Saurabh Gupta and Sai Madhav Burra delivered large doses of drama—most were louder than the scenes themselves and far too memorable.
Pacing Issues: The film’s pacing is uneven, coming to a crawl after the interval.
Unnecessary Additions: An item number featuring Urvashi Rautela has come under fire for being needless and for stretching the film’s runtime to 153 minutes.
What’s Next for Sunny Deol?
Deol is gearing up for his next big outing ‘Border 2’, slated to release on January 23, 2026. The sequel will be directed by Anurag Singh and will feature co-stars, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
