In the Asian markets, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei-225, and China’s Shanghai Composite made gains.
Foreign investors sold
US markets closed with gains on Tuesday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.14 percent higher at US$ 76.59 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) remained sellers in the capital market on Tuesday and sold shares worth Rs 3,531.24 crore net.
