Among the 30 companies listed on the Sensex, Maruti, Infosys, UltraTech Cement, Adani Ports, JSW Steel, and HCL Technologies made the most profit. Shares of Asian Paints, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel, and Titan declined. In the Asian markets, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei-225, and China’s Shanghai Composite made gains.
Foreign investors sold
US markets closed with gains on Tuesday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.14 percent higher at US$ 76.59 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) remained sellers in the capital market on Tuesday and sold shares worth Rs 3,531.24 crore net.
