Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Actor Sooraj Pancholi has recently opened up about the enduring and often scrutinized marriage of his parents, Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. In a candid conversation, Sooraj shed light on why his mother chose to remain with Aditya despite his widely reported extramarital affairs and challenging temperament.
Sooraj emphasized that his mother, Zarina Wahab, made a conscious and personal decision to stay in the marriage. "It was completely her decision," he stated, highlighting her agency in the matter. According to Sooraj, his mother always perceived a "good heart" in Aditya, a core quality that, in her eyes, seemingly outweighed his publicised flaws and infidelities.
While acknowledging his father's "anger issues" and the "mistakes" he made, Sooraj conveyed that Zarina's love for Aditya was a significant factor. He explained that despite the turbulence, his mother's affection for her husband remained. "She loved him," Sooraj said, offering a straightforward insight into his mother's perspective.
The actor also touched upon his own complex relationship with his father. He admitted there were periods, particularly during his younger years, where he "couldn't stand" Aditya due to his behaviour. However, Sooraj revealed that his perspective softened over time, especially after enduring his own profound public and legal challenges, notably the Jiah Khan case, from which he was eventually acquitted. This personal ordeal, he suggested, gave him a new lens through which to understand his father's struggles and complexities.
Sooraj painted a picture of a family that, despite its internal and external battles, found a way to stick together. He implied that his mother saw a side to Aditya Pancholi that perhaps the public didn't, focusing on an inherent goodness she believed he possessed. Ultimately, Sooraj stressed that Zarina Wahab's choice to stay was her own, driven by her own feelings and her unique understanding of her husband.
