Sobhita Dhulipala's eye-catching look in a Rahul Mishra couture gown during a launch in Mumbai drew attention recently. The designer’s work is known for nature-inspired art, and this one is no different as it showcases Indian embroidery’s finest craftsmanship and nature motifs in The Pale Blue Dot Couture Gown from Spring 2025 collection.  

Stunning Appearance at the Event  

At the event, the actress appeared looking nothing short of stunning “strutting” on the red carpet wearing a golden hand-embroidered gown named “Resurgence”. His craftsmanship is evident in every aspect of the ensemble, from sequins and pearls to glass bugle beads and dangling brass leaves. The ensemble Mishra’s sends nature along with strings of couture. Sobhita had her tresses done in soft waves and bold lip along with glowing makeup polished off her glam look.  


Design Details and Inspiration  

For Indian standards, a striking piece like “Resurgence” embodies hope and rebirth as Mishra puts it. Remarkable artistry for such a piece took over 1600 hours to complete in his workshop at Noida. In his Instagram account, he shared images of the piece saying it ‘articulates glorious resurgence from darkness’ using textures and motifs made with Indian techniques.

Indian Couture Takes the Center Stage

Earlier this year, the all-new Resurgence gown was featured on Paris Haute Couture Week. Sobhita’s wearing of the gown further intensified the couture's attention and it was trending all over social media. Also, Rahul Mishra's work had international recognition during the Running Point LA premiere in February as Mindy Kaling was also spotted wearing the same gown.
