While the Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations are in full swing in Gurugram, Noida and Delhi, all commuters and devotees need to remain vigilant. Considering the sideline celebrations in ISKCON and other famous temples, we expect the faithful to gather in large numbers. As a result, Gurugram, Delhi, and Noida police will implement major detours, diversions, and closures from the 16th of August 2025 8 AM to 2 AM.
Delhi Traffic Updates:
Devotees from the east of kailash ISKCON temple will also need to plan accordingly, as several pillars in the south and south-east region will be affected. As a result, the devotees planning to travel through the affected pillars and south-east areas will be required to take alternate routes.
Important Considerations:
*Between Sant Nagar Light and Captain Gaur Marg and Sant Nagar Light, all vehicles are banned and only pedestrians are allowed*
*Traveling between Sant Nagar Signal and Captain Gaur Marg Signal will also only be restricted to local residents*
*Everyone must also take the above mentioned routes of Captain Gaur Marg, outer ring road, MG road, and Lala Lajpart Rai road*
*If you are traveling from the inner ring road, you can cross Captain Gaur Marg and Guar Marg and head towards ashram and Moolchand*
*Buses and heading to Modi mill flyover*
*If you travel from Paras Chowk to Modi mill flyover and then towards Chirag Delhi, all traffic under outer ring road will be redirected towards these places*
Noida Traffic Notice
Noida Traffic Police have put into effect vehicle restrictions and diversions near ISKCON Temple, Sector-33, and Sanatan Dharma Temple, Sector-19.
Key take-aways:
No vehicle movement from NTPC Underpass to Ghizhod Chowk, and vice versa.
Traffic from Ghizhod Chowk to City Center will continue via Hosiyarpur Tirahe or Summer Villa Tirahe.
Park at Adobe Building parking. Then, pedestrians may access ISKON Temple from the Temple.
VVIPs to park at Shilp Haat by Sector-33/34 turn.
Traffic from Sector-31/25 to Ghizhod Chowk towards Sector-60, Sector-62, and Indirapuram must take Spice Mall, Adobe Chowk, Sector-22, 23, 54.
No changes to traffic on the Elevated Road. ISKON/NTPC loop will be closed on 16th August.
Traffic flow is subject to movement restrictions based on crowd size near DM Chowk Sector-19/27.
Vehicle restrictions near Sandip Paper Mill and Golchakkar Chowk are subject to conditional movement restrictions.
Traffic Changes in Gurugram
Gurugram Police have announced traffic changes on 16th August after 5:00 PM for Janmashtami fairs near Prem Mandir, Railway Road. Notable changes are as follows:
Diversion: 4/7 Chowk to Sohna Chowk.
Change of Route: New Colony Mod via Pataudi Road.
These will be completed as follows: Sohna Chowk/Shiv Murti Chowk to Railway Road.
Shiv Murti turn to Lady Fatima School to New Colony Mod to Railway Road.
Safety and Travel Recommendations
Recommended routes will ensure all traffic restrictions are avoided.
Be ready for slow traffic around big temples and festival locations.
Avoid driving by using public transport to avoid parking issues.
