Sensex opened with a gain of 297 points and Nifty with a gain of 76 points, these stocks started trading in the green mark

Share Market Opening 20th August 2024: Indian stock markets once again opened in the green on Tuesday. The 30-share BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 297.86 points at 80,722.54 points. On the other hand, the NSE Nifty 50 with 50 shares also opened with a gain of 76.25 points at 24,648.90 points. Let us tell you that today is the third consecutive day when the stock market has opened with gains. Till the time of writing the news, the shares of 29 out of 30 companies of Sensex were trading in the green mark, while the share of one company was trading in the red mark.

TCS shares trading with a gain of 1.35 percent

In early trade on Tuesday, TCS was trading with the highest gain of 1.35 percent. Shares of IndusInd Bank were trading with a gain of 1.15 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.88 percent, Tata Motors 0.63 percent, Reliance Industries 0.57 percent, Infosys 0.52 percent, while Bharti Airtel shares were trading with a decline of 0.47 percent.

ONGC shares are trading with a decline of 1.33 percent

Apart from Sensex, out of 50 companies listed in Nifty 50, shares of 32 companies were trading in the green, and shares of 17 companies were trading in loss. While the shares of one company were trading without any change. On Nifty 50, BPCL was trading with the highest gain of 1.89 percent and ONGC was trading with the highest decline of 1.33 percent.

Indian stock markets opened with gains on Monday too

On the first day of the week, Monday (Raksha Bandhan), the markets opened with a big gain. On Monday, the Sensex opened with a gain of 243.41 points at 80,680.25 points, while on the other hand, the Nifty also opened with a gain of 95.20 points at 24,636.35 points. However, in the end, the Sensex closed with a decline of 12.16 points at 80,424.68 points and the Nifty closed with a gain of 31.50 points at 24,572.65 points.
