Update on Hoilday Weather: Heat has increased rapidly before Holi in North India. The weather has dramatically changed. People have begun to turn on fans and coolers in an effort to escape the heat. It is believed that winter will completely end and summer will begin to set in right before holi. Per the meteorologist's department, dry spells are expected for Delhi NCR, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh on the 12th of March, 2025, which is a Wednesday. Rain is expected in the mountains.

Delhi’s Premium Sector is Heating Up

The Delhi NCR region has been suffering from extreme temperature spikes recently. Dew point temperatures are hitting 15.7 °C which is on the higher side when compared to this time of the year’s average. The peak temperature is also expected to reach a staggering 34 °C. In the coming days the temperatures are expected to rise per the meteorologists. They are however expecting a dry season ahead.

Rising Temperatures Expected in UP-Bihar Area

The weather in Uttar Pradesh is clear these days, and even though the nights can be prickly cold, the afternoons are blazing hot.

Weather reports indicate that on Tuesday, 11 March 2025, the sky was clear from Lucknow to Noida and Ghaziabad. Some parts of the state and Bihar might be experiencing rainfall with wind and an increased heat wave respectively. These regions can also expect a rise in temperature over the next 3 days.  

What will the weather be like in the mountains?  

With the shift in temperatures, cold weather might make a return to Uttarakhand. We can expect some rain in the districts of the state in the north on 12 Marks 2025. Holi remains a festive event, but it also brings with it the chance of rainfall which the meteorological department reports to expect on the occasion this year. A yellow weather alert for bad weather has been issued from 12 - 14 March 2025, so travelers be cautious. There's been reports about roads around Kullu and Lahaul valley closing due to the snowfall received in the state. The higher regions of Jammu and Kashmir can expect rain from 12 March 2025 for the next four days.
