Once a leading figure among the world’s best spin bowlers, Saqlain Mushtaq has come forward to share aspects about his personal life. Recently, he was able to paint a picture which suggests that he has strong ties with India. It is believed that Saqlain Mushtaq is the creator of a spin bowling technique known as ‘Doosra’. Overall, for Pakistan, Saqlain Mushtaq has played 169 ODIs and 49 Test matches and obtained 208 Wicket in Tests and 288 in ODIs.
What is the connection Indians have with Saqlain Mushtaq?
It is widely known that former cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq has taken 496 wickets in international cricket, however, his recent claims on a Pakistani TV channel are quite controversial. Saqlain Mushtaq stated that he is strongly connected with Amrtisar and Gurdaspur, from where his family hails. His great-grandfather according to Saqlain Mushtaq was known as Rood Singh – and along with him, Saqlain Mushtaq states that his great-grandfather Rood Singh embraced Islam. In addition, Saqlain Mushtaq has also mentioned that he pertains from the same village as prominent Indian comedian Kapil Sharma.

Said BCCI by Mohammed Suhail Khan, it seems over the years, if India is indeed a more competitive side than beta then they shouldn't be shattered by a challenge of ten tests, ten odi, and ten twenty twenty matches with beta. Mohammed Suhail Khan also mentioned that if these arrangements are made, then who is stronger will be put on display for public scrutiny. India recently won a match against Pakistan with a score of six wickets and my takeaway from this victory in the ICC Champions Trophy is that India performed well.
