Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Launches Scathing Attack on Ashok Gehlot in Udaipur
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched a fierce political assault on former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot while addressing the 77th Forest Festival held in Udaipur on Saturday. Taking center stage, Sharma accused Gehlot of being a master of internal political "manipulation" within the Congress party, claiming that whenever the current administration undertakes major developmental milestones in the state, the former CM anxiously reminisces about his own tenure. Highlighting governance failures of the past, Sharma alleged that institutionalized corruption during Gehlot's regime was so widespread that several former ministers and high-ranking officials are currently behind bars, reflecting the true legacy of the previous administration.
Contrasting Employment Records and Accusations of Youth Betrayal
Continuing his sharp critique, the Chief Minister stated that the Congress party did nothing during its rule except deceive and betray the aspirations of Rajasthan's youth. In stark contrast, Sharma highlighted his government's proactive employment track record, proudly noting that the current administration has successfully issued official appointment letters to 178,000 young candidates within a span of just two and a half years. Addressing political counter-attacks, Sharma remarked that instead of answering legitimate public policy questions raised by Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara, Gehlot consistently resorts to tactics designed to divert public attention. He further pointed out the stark difference in administrative management by recalling that state roadways employees went without salaries for up to eight months under Congress rule, whereas his government ensures punctual and timely salary disbursements.
Grassroots Engagement and Packed Agenda Across Udaipur Division
Demonstrating a hands-on approach to governance, Chief Minister Sharma extended his itinerary following the Forest Festival by traveling to Bida village in Jhadol tehsil. There, he actively engaged with local residents during a dynamic Gram Vikas Chaupal and spent the night interacting directly with villagers to understand their grievances. His high-profile tour continues with a packed schedule, featuring the flagging off of a Nari Shakti Rally, virtual participation in the nationwide 'Drug Free Youth Campaign' alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and spiritual visits to the revered Eklingji temple in Kailashpuri. Wrapping up his regional tour, Sharma is slated to visit Rajsamand, chair a crucial meeting of the Scheduled Tribe Advisory Committee at MPUAT, and conduct a comprehensive law-and-review session with district collectors and superintendents of police from the Udaipur and Sirohi divisions.
