Parliament Special Session 2023: The Special Session of Parliament is going to start today (Monday). Today, on the first day, the proceedings of the special session will begin in the old Parliament House. The special session will be shifted to the new Parliament building from tomorrow i.e. Ganesh Chaturthi. There are 4 bills listed by the government, but the opposition feels that the reality behind the scenes is something else. The five-day special session of Parliament is going to start today in the old Parliament House. On the first day, discussions will be held on the journey, achievements, experiences, memory and learnings of the old Parliament House from the Constituent Assembly till today. On Tuesday, for the last time, Parliament will run in the old building of Parliament. On September 5, there will be a photo session of sitting MPs in the old Parliament House. After this, there will be a ceremony in the Central Hall and then the entire Parliament will enter the new building.

Opposition parties in confusion
Confused about the agenda of the special session, the opposition parties want the government to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill in the special session. In the all-party meeting, the opposition parties raised this demand in front of the government. Know that only 4 bills will be discussed in the special session or some other bills or issues will be debated. On this, the government has not fully opened the leaves. On behalf of the government on the Women’s Reservation Bill, it was said that the decision will be taken at the right time.

Significantly, the Ajit faction of the NCP, an ally of the Modi government, also wants the new Parliament building to be inaugurated by passing the Women’s Reservation Bill. But before the special session of Parliament begins, there will be a meeting of the opposition, in which the future strategy for the proceedings of the House will be discussed. At 10 am, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha will meet in Parliament House.
Opposition leaders are questioning the government about the special session of Parliament. The opposition is questioning the government’s intention regarding the bills likely to come in the special session. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge told Zee News that let the government bring the bill, we will see it after coming. On the other hand, Congress MP Shaktisinh Gohil told Zee News in the Rajya Sabha that the government is going to bring the bill keeping the law in mind.
