Active firefights were confirmed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. They stated, “Exchange of fire started between Security Forces and terrorists in the Singhpora locality of Chatroo sub district in Kishtwar.”

JeK Police alongside the White Knights Corps of the Indian Army had confirmed their joint action stating contact with the militants was established early Wednesday. “Additional troops have been inducted, and operations are ongoing to neutralize the terrorists,” they elaborated.
