Suspense crime, Digital Desk : In an all-party meeting held in New Delhi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed that Operation Sindoor is still in progress. “The Indian armed forces inflicted retributive action post the Pahalgam attack, and in my estimates, we were able to neutralize close to a 100 insurgents during the May 7 operations,” Singh explained.

Singh argued that every Pakistani provocation or escalation will be forcefully countered. Singh did not elaborate on the operational aspects as he considered it too sensitive due to the active nature of the campaign. Military authorities were not in attendance because the ongoing operations precluded their participation.

Rijiju, as a political consensus on the all-party meeting shared, mentioned that the objective of this meeting was to align differences on Indian approaches to military strikes. Ministers across party lines praised the government and suspended their criticism for political point scoring.

India's response, as claimed by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar during his meeting with Iranian counter part Seyed Abbas Araghchi, asserting that Jammu and Kashmir suffered unusually harsh terror strikes, was an attack based on estimation of existing intelligence from Indian sources. “The border terror infrastructure was my focus area, and there rather unmistakably, should be, my message that any retaliation will be met with exceptionally stern action,” exclaimed Jaishankar.

India Emphasizes Non-Escalatory Intent

Indian officials have confirmed that the strikes did not aim to escalate the conflict further and meticulously avoided all Pakistani military sites. The combined Army-Air Force action targeted only the terror camps situated in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
