New Vande Bharat Train: The controversial matter of operating Vande Bharat on different routes came up for discussion in the Divisional Parliamentary Committee Meeting held by Eastern Railway in Asansol. Deepak Khaitan attended this meeting as the delegate of MP Ajay Kumar Mandal. It was also suggested to extend the Vande Bharat service from Bhagalpur to Kolkata through Pirpainti.  

Similar suggestions were made to extend Vande Bharat services from Bhagalpur to Patna, and from Bhagalpur to Varanasi. In addition, there was a proposal to introduce two pairs of passenger trains (one in each direction) for Sealdah-Varanasi and for Bhagalpur to Sahebganj routes. There was a proposal to run Ang Express on a bi-weekly basis.

Demand for stoppage of these trains

Demand for the Halting of Farakka Express Train Number 13413 and Gaya-Howrah Express 13024 at Ghogha Junction. Kahalgaon has also been assigned for the stoppage of 13429/13430 and 14003/14004 Malda Town-New Delhi Weekly Express while 13404 Bhagalpur-Ranchi Vananchal Express and 13235 Sahebganj To Patna Intercity Express have also been proposed to stop at Shivnarayanpur where also sit the Farakka Express and Brahmaputra Mail. Murarpur's Intercity Express sits parallel to Malda-Patna Express where definietly are Brahmaputra Mail and a Pirpainti stop where all trains on the Pirpainti Vananchal and Gaya Howrah Express at Ekchari Stop indulge. Denapur-Sahebganj Intercity Express stops at Sabour and Makoi is thinking of stopping at Lailakh for pedestrian express.

Demand for change in timing of Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat

A schedule rediscussion at the meeting was called for to start the timetable for the bothass of the operators at Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat Express. The claim was that with a Bhagalpur departure at 5AM instead of 3:20PM would allow traders far accessible into Howrah for shopping# with comfortable return options for area patients needing to consult Ward 18 Doc in the vicinity.Air Travelers can now fly to Kolkata and catch their flights from the city as well. The train return time remains at 4 pm, but trains will be allowed to leave at 5 pm.

Shatrughan Sinha, MP, headed the meeting. Accompanying him was GM Eastern India Railways and the DRM of Malda Division and Asansol Division along with numerous other railway and parliamentary officials.
