Amidst the rampant gossip and speculations regarding rescheduling the NEET PG 2025 exam, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially confirmed that the exam will be held on 15th June, 2025. The confirmation was offered on the 17th of March, clearing the doubts of many aspirants. The test will be conducted on a Sunday, in the CBT mode at different exam centers across India. NEET PG 2025 will be conducted in two sessions.

For doctors seeking admission for MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses, this examination is mandatory as it is the only entrance examination for postgraduate medical courses available in India.

NBEMS will provide the official information bulletin shortly at the website natboard.edu.in. This bulletin will contain eligibility criteria pertaining for other important instructions like syllabus, exam pattern, application guidelines, and other instructions.

Besides, the online applications for NEET PG 2025 is likely to start a few days after the release of the bulletin. While following the guidelines is a prerequisite, applying before the deadline is equally important to make sure candidates don’t run into last minute complications.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) is an all-India level entrance examination administered by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). It acts as a funnel for making possible admissions into several MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery) and PG Diploma courses in India.

The examination is in accordance with the subjects listed in the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the Medical Council of India such as - Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Preventive and Social Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Psychiatry and Orthopedics.

After this, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) carries out the counselling sessions for the50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats while other respective state counselling authorities took care of the rest 50% state quota seats. The counselling had several components inclusive of registration, choice filling, reporting of seat allotment results and reporting to allotted institutes.
