‘Nanhe Parinde’ campaign in Gautam Buddha Nagar, celebrations held on children’s success in OBE exam

Uttar Pradesh: Under the direction of Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, the ‘Nanhe Parinde’ campaign is being run in Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar to connect the children of slum areas with education. ACP-1 Noida Praveen Kumar Singh celebrated at Sector-39 police station when the children of ‘Nanhe Parinde’ succeeded in the OBE examination (Open Book Examination) for the session 2023-24. ACP-1 Noida congratulated Team ‘Nanhe Parinde’ and highlighted the role of education and teachers in their lives.

While interacting with the children, he also stressed how being disciplined and hardworking does wonders in life. Acknowledging the efforts of Chetna NGO, he also appreciated the support of the HCL Foundation and Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar Police. During this, the children were provided refreshments by the police. ACP-1 Noida Praveen Kumar presented OBE passing certificates and water bottles as gifts to 35 children.

In the session 2024-2025, with the efforts of the ‘Nanhe Parindey team, about 198 children have been admitted to schools. Currently, about 2005 children are being provided education at different educational institutions by this organization. Apart from this, the children got a unique opportunity to learn about the police station under the guidance of the ACP. This interaction not only gave them information about the functioning of law enforcement but also inspired them to dream big and understand the role of discipline and responsibility in achieving their goals.

‘Nanhe Parindey’ is a collaboration of the HCL Foundation and Noida Police, implemented by Childhood Enhancement through Training and Action (CHETNA). ‘Nanhe Parindey’ is a joint initiative of the HCL Foundation and Gautam Budh Nagar Police to provide education and nutrition to children from slum areas. It is to guide and nurture their inherent talents and skills so that they have a better quality of life and contribute to the betterment of the nation as responsible citizens in the future.
