Muhurat Trading 2024: The new Samvat started well for the Indian stock market and the market closed in the green with a good gain. Amid today’s rise, investors made bumper earnings as the shares of most companies closed in the green. However, the market was not able to maintain the big gains made initially during trading in the Muhurat trading session. The Sensex closed at 79,724.12 points with a gain of 335.06 points against an initial gain of 634.69 points, while on the other hand, the Nifty closed at 24,299.55 points with a gain of 94.20 points against an initial gain of 97.40 points.

After the market opened, Sensex and Nifty lost their initial gains

Today, the Sensex opened at 80,023.75 points, which was its intraday high, but after the start of trading, it saw a continuous decline. Similarly, the Nifty 50 opened at 24,302.75 points today and reached an intraday high of 24,368.25 points, but after this, the Nifty also started declining and closed at 24,299.55 points.

Shares of 26 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green mark

At the end of the Muhurat trading session, 26 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with a gain and 4 companies closed in the red with a loss. Similarly, 42 out of 50 Nifty 50 companies closed in the green with a gain and 8 companies closed in the red with a loss.

Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra closed with bumper gains.

In the Muhurat trading, Mahindra & Mahindra shares closed with the highest gain of 3.54 percent for the Sensex. Apart from this, Adani Ports closed with a gain of 1.29 percent, Tata Motors 1.13 percent, NTPC 0.98 percent, Axis Bank 0.92 percent, Titan 0.88 percent, Nestle India 0.87 percent, Tata Steel 0.77 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.66 percent, IndusInd Bank 0.64 percent.

These stocks also rose.

Along with these, shares of Bajaj Finserv, Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finance, TCS, Sun Pharma, ITC, UltraTech Cement, PowerGrid, Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, JSW Steel, Infosys and Larsen & Toubro also closed with gains.

Shares of these companies closed with losses.

On the other hand, shares of HCL Tech closed down by 0.57 percent, Tech Mahindra by 0.33 percent, Asian Paints by 0.04 percent, and ICICI Bank also closed down by 0.04 percent.
