Police Report Confirms Clash, Probes Cause
According to police, a confrontation broke out between two groups in the Bilari police station area. Officials stated that an animal entered a mosque, which triggered the conflict. Injured individuals have been taken for medical attention, and a case is being registered based on complaints. The police have stated that investigations are ongoing to verify claims of stone pelting and use of sticks.
Complaint Filed by Local Resident
Vinod, a local resident of Bahadurpur, filed a complaint alleging that stones were thrown at women participating in temple kirtan. He claimed the situation escalated after people returned from Tarawi prayers. Vinod said he had named several individuals in the complaint but was unable to identify everyone due to fainting during the incident.
Muslim Community Responds with Counterclaim
Mohammad Shahjahan, a youth from the Muslim community, stated that the issue began when a dog entered the mosque. He denied any stone pelting and said that they were attacked with sticks and rods. Shahjahan mentioned that four people from his side were injured, and surveillance cameras can provide clarity on what actually happened.
Investigation Continues, Police Maintain Vigilance
Police forces have been deployed in the area to maintain peace. Authorities are analyzing available video footage to confirm the sequence of events. The matter remains under investigation, and action will be taken based on the evidence collected.
