Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Waiting is Over now hit the cinemas Mission Impossible 7: The Final Reckoning, starring no one less than Tom Cruise and perhaps the last film from the M.I series. Released in theaters on May 17, the film claimed to offer jaw dropping stunts as well as epic drama. Not even close to what the fans expected as social media gave mixed feedback before the showing.

Audience Mix Feedback and Divided Opinions

As observed in X (aka Twitter), users share their thoughts of the movie.

Naming it as “the weakest film in the MI franchise,” one user described how the film felt aimless and lacking in tension.

Another responded with the film featuring “some really high highs,” yet immensely overexplaining things for the rest of the film.

“It is a one-man show by Tom Cruise,” another tweet reported, giving praise for the action but critiquing the first half for being too long and packed with dialogue.

In a stark contrast, another fan deemed the film a “satisfying ending to the franchise” especially with how the third act concluded the film without leaving loose ends.

Cannes Premiere and Its Emotionally Charged Moment

In the case of India, Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. It received a 5-minute standing ovation that made Tom Cruise cry. For Cruise, the emotion associated with his final performance as Hunt was overwhelming.
