Meerut : New developments have emerged in the brutal murder of Saurabh Rajput in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Muskan, his wife and prime accused in the case, reportedly purchased the sedative injection used to incapacitate him from Usha Medical Store. A raid by the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) on Sunday uncovered this critical detail.

Raid Details at Usha Medical Store

During the raid at Khairnagar’s Dawa Bazar, FSDA officials found that Muskan had shown a prescription on her mobile phone to buy sleeping pills and a sedative injection named Mezolam worth ₹33. This injection was allegedly used to render Saurabh unconscious before the murder.

Drug inspectors Priyanka and Piyush questioned the store operator about whether the drug was provided with a valid prescription. Investigators also checked billing records, stock registers, and seized samples of anti-depressants for further examination.

Medical Store Under Scrutiny

The store operator claimed that Muskan, accompanied by an elderly man on a scooter, mentioned an anxiety issue and said the injection was for her ailing father. He said he was unaware of her intentions and sold the injection based on the mobile prescription shown.

Authorities now suspect the store may have violated legal protocols regarding drug sales. If proven negligent, the medical store may face legal action, including cancellation of its operating license.

Background of the Saurabh Rajput Murder Case

Saurabh Rajput was killed in a premeditated crime carried out by his wife Muskan and her lover Sahil Shukla. The couple dismembered his body and hid it in a drum filled with cement to conceal the murder.

After committing the crime, Muskan and Sahil fled to Kasol in Himachal Pradesh, where they stayed for six days, falsely registering as husband and wife at a local hotel. Their stay spanned from March 10 to March 16. Both were later apprehended by police.

Police Investigation Continues

Police have interrogated the medical store operator and are closely coordinating with the drug administration. The findings from this raid are now a crucial part of the larger investigation into the murder.
