The most recent Telugu movie Mazaka starring Sundeep Kishan has gotten mixed reactions on Twitter. While some viewers are calling it a fun and an enjoyable watch, others feel like it shows no efforts in creativity or storytelling. Although the movie’s comedy, acting, and music is well received, some viewers were disappointed by the cliché plot and the poor second half of the movie.

Reviewer Bossu gave the film a 3/5 and referred to it as “absolute entertainment.” This reviewer was not particularly fan of the storytelling aspect of the film, giving it a 2.9/5. He was however impressed by the acting, giving it a score of four out of five. He added that the first half of the movie was better than the second, giving 2.85/5 and 2.75/5 for both segments respectively but he was satisfied with the ending.

Others on GetsCinema are on the other side of the opinion, referring to Mazaka as a “VERY GOOD FILM” giving it an 88% rating. They tweeted about audiences enjoying the best of the RaoRamesh and #HyperAdhi sequences saying “AUDIENCE are enjoying #RaoRamesh and #HyperAdhi sequences at its best.” They also stressed over the fact that after Raayan and Bairava Kona, Sundeep Kishan’s hit streak does not seem to end.

Movies4U Official also seemed to relish the film saying on Twitter, “Positives: First Half , Sundeep Kishan – Rao Ramesh BGM & Somasillipothunnave song, Emotion.” Although they seem to praise the first half, they did mention weaknesses in the writing for the second half stating that it became monotonous and formula driven. Their conclusion was: “A decent entertainer!”

On the other hand, Rajababu Anumula didn’t have too much of a strong opinion and said, “Mix of fun and emotions worked out in parts. Sundeep Kishan and Rao Ramesh combo gels very well. Anshu extravagantly sizzles with glamour and performances too. Nakkina balanced work with the script. Just Watch the movie without logics.. it have feel good moments.”, which indicates that despite it not being the best film ever, it can be enjoyed easily.

From the other side of the spectrum, Rakshita had one of the most bitter expositions on Mazaka labeling it as, “WORST & OUTDATED.” She described the products negatives: “Worst writings, No laughs, completely predictable scenes, Father-Son Love tracks, Songs.”, yet, she did make one positive point: “Positives: Rao Ramesh.”

Screenshot the post from Cinema Samosa provides additional problems with the screenplay by pointing out: “Mazaka First Half: The movie starts off quite casually and easy. Instead of relying on drama and action, it depends on dialogues and moments. The cliche comedy is served with life, yet it feels dull. There is no clear development towards anything, just a series of random plot lines that come and go. The screenplay is overly simplistic. Still a fun passable ride but frankly speaking there is nothing you can cling to.” With the screening of the first round of clips available to the general public, it hints that while the first half is comical, the movie as a whole does not sustain any sort of energy.

Their first half analysis suggests that it is not very appealing. However, available to the public ‘Mazaka’ first half is believe to possess some perceived value is more critical take on the first half, ‘Mazaka’ first half edits Rao Ramesh: Tweets- “Mazaka first half is passable with the right expectations. It has many positive attributes. As the name suggests it caters to the masses and provides good entertainment. The movie has a Still has a fresh hook and a couple of fun blocks, and it is well placed. It’s routine by design, and while some of the comedy don’t land successfully, Rao Ramesh puts on a show.” Their summary suggests that the movie achieves some entertainment value, but lacks comparability.

I would recommend Mazaka because for those who enjoy mass entertainers. However, diehard fans will definitely TO be disappointed.
