Deepening Your Spiritual Connection by Worshiping the Tulsi Plant on Janmashtami Evening

An ancient saying shows the importance of the evening of Janmashtami, which is to the Tulsi plant which is to the blessings of Krishna where life can be abundant.  

The Ritual Steps

When the sun sets, light a ghee filled diya next to the Tulsi plant.  

Remember Lord Vishnu and the ghee lamp, and while focusing only on the positive, speak meditation only.  

Do circumambulate the Tulsi plant for seven circles which translates to twelve and a half steps while chanting Tulsi Mata mantras and singing her aarti.  

Through these actions, devotees receive spiritual grace along with fulfillment from Lord Vishnu as well as Tulsi Mata.

Strengthen the shakti of your ritual by chanting these ancient mantras:  

Matas Tulasi Govinda Hridayananda Karini  

They gain Vishnu’s blessings and grace to the heart soul’s desires.

Om Shri Tulasya Namah  

Om Shri Tulasya Namah is a mantra that celebrates the bliss and offerings received.  

In the context of Tulsi puja's praises and for the bliss of Lord Visshnu.  

Additionally, the effects of chanting the Stotra Tulsihye can still be received through the below praise.

When performing bhog for Krishna, Tulsi leaves should also be added as the offering is incomplete without the leaves.
