Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed skepticism over the United States’ diplomatic conduct based on a recent statement issued by former President Steve Trump. While addressing a naval event in Tehran, the President pointed out Washington's double standards.

“Which should we believe? On one hand there is the claim of peace yet on the other there is the threat with the most advanced tools for mass killing,” Pezeshkian said.

Iran expresses willingness to negotiate

President Pezeshkian simultaneously expressed that Iran is ready to further negotiate nuclear talks with the US, adding clearly that no degree of intimidation would sway Iran's stance.

"We are not seeking war,” He added stating that Iran is hoping to maintain rational discourse sans breach of territory, whilst asserting its sovereign rights.

“We are dealing with a different environment right now,” is how Trump addressed Iran milking the comments recently made when boarding Airforce One on a prior Friday cruise.

“More importantly, they know they have to move quickly or something bad – something bad’s going to happen,” Trump continued.

Iran has rejected new proposals by the US.

Remarking his discontent over what he asserts were fallacious claims made by Trump, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has counter-argued him saying Tehran was presented with no fresh propositions.

“We are not living in any scenario where Iran’s hard-earned rights to enrichment of (uranium) for peaceful purposes will be given up,” posted Araqchi via X.

After the Oman round, there are no new meetings arranged.

Last Sunday, the fourth round of indirect Iran-U.S. nuclear negotiations was held in Oman. As of now, there seems to be no new meeting planned.

Pezeshkian stressed that Iran will abide by no terms:

“Refusing to capitulate to bullying means we are labeled as the region's source of problems.”
