
Apple has started rolling out the iOS 18.4 update for iPhones, and one of its key features is support for regional Indian languages. Users can now change their iPhone’s entire interface—menus, buttons, and settings—into languages like Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, and more.
Pre-Update Checklist
Before changing your iPhone’s language, make sure you’ve installed iOS 18.4:
Go to: Settings → General → Software Update
Install: iOS 18.4 if the update is available

With the latest update, your iPhone can now fully operate in these regional languages:

How to Change iPhone Language
Follow these steps to switch your iPhone’s interface to your preferred language:
Open Settings – Tap the Settings icon on your Home Screen.
Go to General – Scroll down and select General.
Tap Language & Region – Find and tap Language & Region.
Add a New Language – Tap Add Language to see all available options.
Select a Language – Choose the language you want to use.
Set as Primary – When prompted, tap Use [Language] to apply it as your main language.
Once done, the iPhone will switch entirely to the chosen language.
Changing Language During New iPhone Setup
If you’re setting up a new iPhone, you can select your desired language during the initial setup process. This is usually the very first step before configuration begins.
