India's cultural heritage is back, over 600 ancient sculptures, Chola copper plates return home

Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : The central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the lead to return more than 600 ancient sculptures that had been illegally taken out of India and smuggled abroad. According to ANI, over 200 such sculptures and artefacts have been brought back to India over the past few years.
The Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan said while detailing the efforts of the Modi government on Sunday that while, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently brought back the Chola period copper plate inscriptions (Seppu Pattayam) from Netherlands that consists of 21 large and 3 small copper plates, these contain the success stories of Chola dynasty.
Murugan said after listening to an episode of Prime Minister Modi's monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' that the return of this cultural treasure signifies the contribution of central government towards re-establishing and re-organizing the heritage of India.
He said that during Prime Minister Modi's recent tour to 5 countries, PM Modi brought back the copper plate inscriptions of Chola period from Netherlands. "It is being made sure that these copper plates soon return to their appropriate location in Tamil Nadu" Murugan also complemented the role played by PM Modi in achieving the recognition for Chola heritage on international levels.
