Hockey India secretary Bholanath Singh said that he (PR Sreejesh) deserved this (to be the flag bearer in the closing ceremony of the Olympics). If the Government of India and the Indian Olympic Committee have given him this opportunity, then Hockey India thanks them. Winning consecutive medals was a great achievement, but our goal was to play the final. The referee’s mistake of keeping Amit Rohidas out cost us dearly and that’s why we are here with bronze. Otherwise, the color of the medal would have been different.
